On the pleasantly raining evening of May 31, the Noida Entrepreneurs Association auditorium in Sector 6, Noida, resonated with the timeless melodies of Bollywood’s golden era. Organised by the Raas Rang Music and Dance Trust, the evening extravaganza “Music for the soul and melodies of Bollywood”, captivated the audience with renditions of classic hits that have left an indelible mark on Indian cinema. The musical evening was supported by Simranshri Rehabilitation Centre, We Care and Navratan Foundations.
The auditorium was filled to capacity, with music enthusiasts from across the National Capital Region gathering to relive the magic of yesteryears. The ambiance was electric, as each performance transported attendees back to an era where music was characterized by soulful lyrics and melodious tunes. Inaugurated with a lamp lighting ceremony by Smt. Sheela Devi, founder of Raas Rang, it was followed by a Ganesh and Saraswati Vandana by the students of Raas Rang, accompanied by Pt. Bhanu Mishra Maharaj on Tabla.




Anchoring the evening was Dr. Ashok Srivastav, known for his eloquence and deep appreciation for Indian music. He seamlessly guided the audience through the evening’s performances, sharing anecdotes and insights. His narration added depth to the musical journey, enriching the experience for all present.

Organised under the guidance of Guru Pt. Sumit Mishra, the programme featured a lineup of talented singers, across age groups, who delivered stirring performances of evergreen songs, accompanied with the mesmerising tabla played by Pt. Ashish Mishra. From the romantic ballads of Mohammed Rafi to the vibrant numbers of Kishore Kumar and the soulful melodies of Geeta Dutt, Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle, each rendition was met with enthusiastic applause. The performers’ dedication to preserving the authenticity of the original compositions was evident, earning them accolades from the discerning audience. Those who showcased their singing talent, included Col (Retd) Sandesh Sharma, Col (Retd) Amitabh Amit, Geeta Tiwari, Aparna Mishra, Poorvi Mishra, Manish Mishra, Suraj Kumar, Abhinav Mishra, Gaurav Singh and others.
Held at the Noida Entrepreneurs Association auditorium, the event aimed to celebrate the rich musical heritage of India and provide a platform for artists to showcase their talents. The association’s commitment to promoting cultural initiatives was evident in the meticulous planning and execution of the programme.
